NID Vijayawada UG Courses 2025

The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID AP) established in September 2015, is the second autonomous multi-disciplinary design institute, under the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

It currently offers full-time four year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programme in Communication Design (CD), Industrial Design (ID) and Textile & Apparel Design (TAD).

So, every course is best. The institution offers 90% placement record. As per the reaserch I did on internet, I come to know that the average package is 15 lakhs.

I would recommend to do detailed analysis of the Courses and then go for it.

To get admission to NID, you must have appeared for the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) conducted by NID.

There is no scholarship schemes for the UG students in NID AP. 

The institute functions as an autonomous body under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotions, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
NID Vijayawada is known across the world as a pioneer in the field of design education.
The National Institute of Design Act of 2014 designates the institute as an " Institution of National Importance, " according to the Act of Parliament.
The university provides a four-year programme with three specializations.

National Institute of Design Andhra Pradesh cutoff for three BDes specialisations, including NID in Communication Design, NID in Industrial Design, and B.Des. in Textile and Apparel Design is 62.2, whereas an Open Rank of 154 is also required for the open category students. NID Andhra Pradesh cutoff is released of other categories, including Open, GEN -EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and Overseas as well. Further, candidates who meet the NID DAT cut off are considered for the admission process for BDes admission 2024-25 batch. NID DAT exam 2024 registrations are ongoing.

National Institute of Design (NID) Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh offers 1 Course in 3 streams. The courses are, B.Des. in Communication Design, B.Des. in Industrial Design, and B.Des. in Textile and Apparel Design. Admission is given to 75 students only.

Admission is based on the design aptitude test, a national entrance test for admissions, conducted by the institute. 

The eligibility is that a candidate must have cleared class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board.

The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme is offered by two prestigious institutes, NID Assam and NID Vijayawada, each one having its special advantages. Which mainly related to the individual interest.

Location Preference: NID Assam would be a better option if an individual are drawn to Northeast India's rich cultural diversity and wish to support social impact initiatives. If you would rather be close to design-focused companies and industrial centres, NID Vijayawada might be a better choice.

Design Specialisation: NID Vijayawada provides specialised programmes in industrial design, textile and garment design, and communication design if these fields clearly appeal to you. The scope of NID Assam is wider, covering a range of design specialties.

Student Culture: To gain a sense of each institute's student culture and atmosphere, visit the campuses, speak with current students, and attend events.

If the individual is interested in industrial design then NID Vijayawada is the best option, and if the individual is interested in the broader form of cultural design then the NID Assam is the best option.

NID Vijayawada includes a large canteen where students have a choice of foods.
NID supplies students with wholesome meals through the student mess committee.
Every meal should be had in the dining room at the appropriate time.
Food delivered to rooms is prohibited, and no one is permitted to carry any kitchen utensils outdoor.

Within the GATE complex, there is a Boy's Hostel, a Girl's Hostel, and an adjacent Mess facility. There are 208 rooms available in the hostel, which can house up to 292 students.  There are amenities like a doctor on call, a car for any medical emergency, a dining facility that accommodates the cultural variety of India, and a common area with utilitarian and recreational equipment in addition to the residential quarters and GATE site. Wide, lush grounds surrounded the school to provide a better setting for students' personal growth.

It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide correct and verifiable information during the application process. If the candidate is found to be using incorrect or couterfeir information, his or her candidature could be cancelled at any stage of the admission process. Further, if the candidate tries to influence, either directly or indirectly, to influence the management or employees, then also the candidate could be disqualfiied.

Note that the NID DAT 2024 counseling will have a document verification process. During this stage, all the information and documents furnished by the candidate will be cross-checked.
