NID Vijayawada UG Courses 2025

The National Institute of Design, Andhra Pradesh (NID AP) established in September 2015, is the second autonomous multi-disciplinary design institute, under the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

It currently offers full-time four year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programme in Communication Design (CD), Industrial Design (ID) and Textile & Apparel Design (TAD).

So, every course is best. The institution offers 90% placement record. As per the reaserch I did on internet, I come to know that the average package is 15 lakhs.

I would recommend to do detailed analysis of the Courses and then go for it.

NID Andhra Pradesh cutoff has been released for various categories, including Open, GEN -EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and Overseas. Candidates can check the NID Andhra Pradesh BDes cutoff for the year 2023 for other than Open category in the below:

National Institute of Design (NID) Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh offers 1 Course in 3 streams. The courses are, B.Des. in Communication Design, B.Des. in Industrial Design, and B.Des. in Textile and Apparel Design. Admission is given to 75 students only.

Admission is based on the design aptitude test, a national entrance test for admissions, conducted by the institute. 

The eligibility is that a candidate must have cleared class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board.

National Institute of Design Andhra Pradesh cutoff for three BDes specialisations, including NID in Communication Design, NID in Industrial Design, and B.Des. in Textile and Apparel Design is 62.2, whereas an Open Rank of 154 is also required for the open category students. NID Andhra Pradesh cutoff is released of other categories, including Open, GEN -EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and Overseas as well. Further, candidates who meet the NID DAT cut off are considered for the admission process for BDes admission 2024-25 batch. NID DAT exam 2024 registrations are ongoing. 

Within the GATE complex, there is a Boy's Hostel, a Girl's Hostel, and an adjacent Mess facility. There are 208 rooms available in the hostel, which can house up to 292 students.  There are amenities like a doctor on call, a car for any medical emergency, a dining facility that accommodates the cultural variety of India, and a common area with utilitarian and recreational equipment in addition to the residential quarters and GATE site. The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme is offered by two prestigious institutes, NID Assam and NID Vijayawada, each one having its special advantages. Which mainly related to the individual interest.

NID Assam is the newest member of the National Institute of Design family, having been founded in 2019. Its offers exposure to Northeast India's rich traditions and a dynamic cultural environment. The institute's emphasis on social impact design is in line with the rising need for designers who can support sustainable growth and the welfare of communities.

The  prestigious B.Des curriculum at NID Vijayawada, which was founded in 2015, places a heavy focus on industrial design, textile and garment design, and communication design. If the individual is interested in industrial design then NID Vijayawada is the best option, and if the individual is interested in the broader form of cultural design then the NID Assam is the best option.

The application form for NID DAT 2025 has to be filled online. There is no way to fill the form in any other way. The application link is provided on the official admission portal of NIFT; alternately, the candidate could visit this page to fill the application form. The application fee for NID that will also have to be paid online using online payment gateway. Note that the National Institute of Design (NID) will invite NID that applications for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses. Currently, there are 425 seats for the B. Des programme, while the M.Des programme has an intake of 347 seats.

While filling out the NID application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and personal information. They are also required to upload a photograph and signature, and caste Certificate if applicable. In case of candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, they also need to upload a category Certificate. PwD category candidates will also have to upload the relevant Certificate.

The category and PwD certificates should be in PDF format and max 2 MB.

Meanwhile, the photograph and signature should in JPG/JPEG format and within 75-100 KB.
