You can crack NSD if you really have the will and passion to be a part of it. You should have a good practical experience in Theater. Be it performing in different plays, working with different kind of directors, work at as different places with different people . That will enhance your experience in a way. NSD specifically mentions that you need to have performed at least 6 theater plays in order to be eligible to apply for the said course. They conduct an audition as a qualifying test. A written exam is also conducted for which you must should be aware of theater's history. You can buy books from market for this and also refer to the Google information. Read as much as you can realted to this field. Apart from the general knowledge, you need to develop some creative thinking too. Because they make you do a lot of improvisations and you need to be creative and imaginative for the same.

The eligibility criteria of PG Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design of FTII is Bachelors Degree in Applied arts, Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design or related fields in fine arts or equivalent diploma in any of the above.
