Minimum eligibility criteria is Graduation and Theater experience to enter in NSD. If you want to learn acting in NSD, my suggestion is to complete your Bachelor degree first and associate yourself with some street play (Nukad Natak)

National School of Drama offers Diploma in Dramatic Arts which is a full-time course | Duration - 3 years.

Interested candidates can apply online with the required information.
2. Audition
Eligible candidates need to appear for the audition/preliminary test conducted by the institute. Candidates qualifying in the audition will have to attend a 5 days workshop in the school premises.
3. Final Selection
Candidates are selected based on their performance in audition and workshop.
Foreign students have to submit their applications through the Indian Embassy/ High Commission in their countries, who will forward these to then the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The school will then consider the application recommended by the ICCR.
Fee Structure is as below.
Year 1: INR 2,010
Year 2: INR 1,860
Year 3: INR 1,860
Total fee: INR 5,730
Fee components:
Tuition, Admission, Students Union membership fee.
In addition to above course fee, the student has to pay INR 2000 as an advance fee for the make-up kit, INR 9000 as caution money and library fee deposit and INR 1650 as a stationery fee.
The hostel fee includes rent, electricity and water charges, medical charges and mess charges which may vary. Students are advised to keep an additional provision of Rs.1000 at the time of joining, to cover any price rise/hike that may occur in the above-mentioned items.

But surely, after the course you can apply in film industry as well as broadcasting one. You can work for serials, documentaries, theater etc.

other than NSD,Punjab University Chndigadh, also has their reputed Theatre Department.
NSD offers Three Year Diploma in Dramatic Arts and that is the MOST Reputed Acting Course in the country.

To get admission in NSD, you need to follow the entrance exam along with a screen test done by the NSD team, also there are other colleges as well who take direct admission for acting.
