It is a cheap college.
Placements: Approx. 13 to 15 students get placed from 95 students in M.Sc mathematics Honors. The highest package was 15000 INR and the lowest salary is 7000 INR. 24% students get internship from my course in Bajaj and Tata. This college has many vocational courses also.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, maths department, big digital classroom, library, new 7 floor building with lift availability, etc. are there. It also has an aqua guard, etc. There is also canteen facility available for both students and teachers. There is also parking facility available for both teachers and students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Teaching quality is not good. The college doesn't make students industry ready. There is no difficulty in semester exams. The external semester exams are held in other bbmku colleges.

Placements: I am not satisfied with this college. They don't put effort into helping students to find a job. They don't have any placement cells.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. We don't have a library. The hostel facility is not available in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified. They are not helpful. They don't take classes properly. They just took 2-3 classes before the exam. They discuss the important questions. They gave us the important question list before the exam.
Other: Events are not held in our college. Extracurricular activities are not held in our college.

P k Roy Memorial College.
Placements: There are 50 percent of students placed in the Chemistry Hons. course. The highest package for Chemistry Hons. is about 2k, and the lowest is not available right now. Chemical Lab, Afcons, Abbott, etc. are the top recruiting companies for my course. I am not sure about the percentage of students who will get the internship. I think 50 to 60 percent in CSIR. Roles offered include Chemical Engineer and Medical Chemist.
Infrastructure: A Wi-Fi connection is available all over the college. Labs are fully cleaned and equipped with instruments. Classrooms are available in huge numbers; there are 100+ classrooms in our college. There is also a huge library where we can find lots of books for studies. There is no hostel available in my college, and there is also not a canteen on our campus. There is only a small shop and a cyber cafe for students' documentation needs. There is a building for sports and a playing room for games.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and experienced. It makes students industry-ready. Semesters are quite easy to tackle. It's not too hard nor too easy. The percentage for passing is 60%. The students are also hardworking and dedicated to the course.
Other: I chose this course to study chemicals and to get experience in this field. The best thing is the laboratory for the experiments. The events are amazing, with fests and youth festivals for students to showcase their talents.

Good academics, but needed upgrades.
Placements: I completed my M.Sc. in Mathematics from P. K. Roy Memorial College. Around 60–70% of students got placed, with packages ranging from 3–8 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and ICICI hired for roles in analytics, teaching, and finance. Internships were commonly done through online platforms.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at P. K. Roy Memorial College was decent and improving. Classrooms were basic but functional, the library was well-stocked, and the campus was peaceful. Hostels had limited seats with average mess facilities, but overall, it was manageable for focused students.
Faculty: Faculty at P. K. Roy Memorial College were knowledgeable but followed traditional teaching methods. Some guided well for NET/GATE, while others just stuck to textbooks. The curriculum was theory-heavy with limited practical exposure. Exams were regular, but evaluations lacked transparency.
Other: I pursued my M.Sc. in Mathematics from P. K. Roy Memorial College, Dhanbad, and was part of the 2022–2024 batch. I chose this course mainly because I had always had a strong interest in mathematics and wanted to prepare for exams like NET, GATE, and other government-level opportunities. The course provided a solid academic base in pure mathematics, with subjects like Algebra, Analysis, Number Theory, and Topology that were very useful for research and teaching careers. One of the best things about the course was the depth of the syllabus and the way it strengthened the theoretical foundation. Faculty was supportive in terms of clearing doubts and guiding for exams, though the teaching methods were mostly traditional. What I wished had been better was the inclusion of practical or real-world applications in the curriculum. A little exposure to tools like MATLAB, LaTeX, or even some basic data science concepts would have added great value, especially for students looking at careers outside academia. The campus was located in a peaceful part of Dhanbad and had a decent academic atmosphere. The college crowd was diverse, and students from various backgrounds came here, which made the environment friendly. There were some small fests and department-level seminars, though large-scale events were not very frequent. Connectivity to the college was good through local transport. Scholarships were available for eligible students, especially under state and central schemes. Extracurricular activities happened occasionally, mostly cultural and debate-related. Overall, it was a good choice if you were serious about academics and further studies, but there was room for growth in terms of exposure and modernization.

We are totally satisfied because of our teachers. I miss those days.
Placements: I did my ISC and MSC at the same college. The good thing about this college is that the teachers are very supportive and help with everything. Almost 20% of students at the college were placed in my course. The highest package was INR 28 lakh per annum, the average was INR 14 lakh per annum, and the lowest package was INR 8 lakh. The recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, SAIL, KIA, and a few more. 70% of students got internships from the course.
Infrastructure: The best facility at the college is the library. Our college has the biggest library in the whole city. The books were updated every month. It does not have hostel facilities. Many sports functions are organized in the college, like cricket, running, and speech competitions.
Faculty: The teachers were the gems. Even now, I am connected to my teachers; they are knowledgeable, qualified, and teach us in the best possible way. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant; it makes students ready to work in any industry. Yes, the semester exams were quite difficult, but hardly 4-5 students failed on the exam.
Other: It has a scholar program like E-Kalyan.
The surrounding area of the college is full of greenery and is beautiful.

Our college is good in terms of education.
Placements: Our college provides many placement opportunities in the final year. A few companies visit our college to recruit students. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Our teachers support students during placements. Almost 40% of students got placed in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities like Wi-Fi, classrooms, etc. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, desks, and air-conditioners. The food served in the canteen is good and affordable. The hostel facility is available for boys. The infrastructure of the hostel is not much good. Our department is good. They provide many research facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Some teachers are lazy. They skip classes. Some teachers are very helpful to students who want to learn extra things.
