The choice of selection is mostly dependent on a valid *JEE Main* result. The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a process of counselling known as the *DTE Madhya Pradesh BE counselling* where the candidates will initially be required to get their details registered online then filling in with their choice, publication of the merit list of the eligible candidates, and the final seat allotment and thereafter verification of documents and making of the fee payment in the institute.

Although it has been called in other reviews "typical hostel food", it is also regularly described as either good or very good, and it includes breakfast and dinner with it. The mess is a good one, as it has good eatable food to be used only on daily basis and a fairly maintained environment whose preferences differ according to individuals.
