WeSchool Alumnus Committed To Rural Development

July 25, 2022: Through a variety of clever and cutting-edge technologies, Tanul Mohod and Vikas Yadav are improving the standard of living for rural Indians. The requirement for future leaders and managers to have a thorough awareness of the rural sector in India has led to rural management becoming one of the main areas of attention in the contemporary business environment. Tanul Mohod, a graduate of the Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool) founded by S.P. Mandali, has created a tool dubbed the "Smart Paani" that enables farmers to keep track of the quantity and calibre of water being delivered to their fields. Over 4000 farmers in Bihar, Chandigarh, and Punjab are currently using this technology, and 30 lakh people have benefited from the water delivery systems that he and his team created. They ensure that only the necessary amount of water is watered by automating the schedules, which saves more water. Prior to this approach, farmers would not visit their fields, especially at night, in order to stop the engine in a timely manner, resulting in water waste. The Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, recently launched the equipment, which is already in use by the state's farmers.

Vikas Yadav, a different student, has assisted farmers in making the changeover to natural farming to ensure that the produce is clean and chemical-free. He also supports farmers that use heirloom seeds for organic farming. He is currently farming a 5-acre plot of land and using it as a demonstration farm to demonstrate to nearby farmers how easy it is to practise natural farming. His goal is to assist small and marginal farmers more because they are losing their land and many are taking their own lives each year as a result of the negative impacts of chemical farming on farm income. He wants to show them that there is a market where farmers and customers both profit equally. He believes, there is a huge gap that needs to be filled and he is focussed on bridging this in the best interest of the farmers.

School teaches students how to bridge the gap between the urban and rural sectors during their stay at the institute because the rural sector in India has developed into a thriving commercial potential. This emphasis led us to integrate design thinking and innovation-based topics in our course curriculum, which enable students to approach issues from a human-centered and holistic perspective rather than from a "consumer" or "market" perspective.

Rural development is urgently needed in order to assist the populace become more productive. Because there are more rural Indians than urban Indians, enterprises naturally have a bigger market exposure and can draw in more clients and consumers.

WeSchool Secures 68th Rank in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking of the Top 100 Management Institutes

July 19, 2022: Among the top 100 management institutes in India for the year 2022, SP Mandali's Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool) was recently placed 68th. Based on factors including ‘Teaching, Learning and Resources,’ ‘Research and Professional Practices,’ ‘Graduation Outcomes,’ ‘Outreach and Inclusivity,’ and ‘Perception,’ the institute moved up four spots from the year before. Based on the institution's scores in several NIRF metrics and weighting categories, the institution received an overall score of 46.76, which was reported by the NIRF ranking system. One of the few PGDM Institutes in the Top 100, which also includes over 25 university-based management schools and over 20 IIMs, IITs, and NITs, is WeSchool.

WeSchool seeks to develop future business leaders and practitioners through innovative education that emphasises useful skills for the workforce. WeSchool has created its programmes to foster creativity and entrepreneurial abilities while providing students with industry connections and lectures in light of the VUCA environment that exists across the globe. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a ranking framework that was established in 2015 under the guidance of the Ministries of Education (MoE) and Human Resources Development (MHRD). It has developed a methodology for ranking all participatory educational institutions or universities in India in a common national ranking system and publishes proposed ranks for the top participatory colleges, schools, and institutions every year.

Students From WeSchool Stood Out At The Lets Rise Up Foundation And MetKonnect

June 24, 2022: Participants in the start-up investor meetup hosted by The Lets Rise Up Foundation and MetKonnect included students from S.P. Mandali's Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool). In order to connect, strategize, and advance enterprises and society as a whole, the Foundation arranged the event in collaboration with MetKonnect for start-ups and social entrepreneurs. Individuals have to deliver outstanding pitches in 5 minutes as part of the "5 Minutes to 5 Lacs" programme. Prince Chaudhury won the MetKonnect (Emerging global Maharashtra) Start-up funding event out of three Weschool participants. He gave a pitch for his startup concept, the Kisan App. The Kisan app will link farmers with service providers so they can receive assistance throughout the full farming process, from planting to harvesting to baling. It would enable farmers to access cost-effective cutting-edge technology at their doorsteps, simplifying and streamlining the entire farming process.

Ruchit Makhwana, a student at WeSchool studying research and business analytics, pitched his start-up, Torque Robotics, and the president of the Bombay Industries Association gave him a job. Torque Robotics provides robotics instruction for kids of all ages through workshops, structured courses, and the sale of robotics kits. To date, they have trained more than 250 pupils in 20 sessions and made a 32 percent profit. WeSchool alumna Shraddha Shinde is in negotiations with investors to secure finance for her start-up. The MetKonnect event contributed to creating a lively environment among the investors, start-ups, and notable people in attendance.

The Global Citizen Leader programme, a project-based course on leadership and innovation, was also developed by Weschool. All students must use cutting-edge technology to address innovation challenges sponsored by businesses. This is accomplished through a self-assessment platform that uses AI and chat to assist evaluate each student individually against a set of competencies. The efforts made by Weschool to create global citizens who will have an impact in the future are demonstrated by these actions.
