For entrance to the B.Arch programme, SMAID accepts the scores of candidates in the NATA exam. The Council of Architecture (CoA) administers the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), a national entrance test, to applicants for admission to undergraduate architecture degrees (5-year BArch). It will be up to the candidates to decide whether to take one or more tests. The dates of the NATA 2024 exam are anticipated to be announced soon by the authorities. Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research Architecture & Interior Design (SMAID), was established in 2012 as an affiliated institute to SPU, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design SMAID offers an UG level Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course. The duration of the course is 5 years (Full Time). The basic eligibility criteria for joining B.Arch at SMAID is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as Compulsory Subject with 50% marks from any recognised board. Another alternate criteria is that candidates who have passed NIOS (10+2) *with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (*Foundation certificate courses, conducted at the Institute level) are also eligible. Candidate who have passed 10+3 Diploma with mathematics as compulsory subject with 50% marks from recognised university can also apply.
A Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree programme is available at the undergraduate level at Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design (SMAID). The fundamental requirements for admission to SMAID's B.Arch programme are that candidates must have scored 50% in their 10+2 coursework with mathematics, chemistry, and physics from any accredited board. Candidates who have passed the NIOS (10+2) *with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (*Foundation certificate courses, held at the Institute level) are also eligible, according to an additional alternative criterion. Candidates who graduated from an accredited university with mathematics as a compulsory subject for their 10+3 Diploma should have scored 50%.
Candidates need to complete Class 12 with PCM or Class 10 with three year Diploma with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% aggregate to apply for BArch course offered by SMAID. Aspirants who have passed NIOS with Physics and Mathematics (Foundation certificate courses, conducted at the Institute level) can also apply. Besides, the institute considers NATA score for admission to BArch.
