SMAID offers five courses at UG and PG levels in Architecture, Design and Planning streams. The courses include BArch, BPlan, MPlan, BID and MID. SMAID, CVM University admission is both merit and entrance-based. The institute conducts an aptitude test to shortlist candidates for a specific course. Other entrance exams include NATA and GUJCET. The student may follow the admission process through ACPC for specific programmes. 

SMAID admission to Bachelor of Interior Design or BID is based on SMAID Entrance Test conducted by the institute. Additionally, candidates must complete Class 12 with Science stream GroupA, Group AB Commerce stream and Arts as compulsory subject with at least 40% aggregate to apply for BID. Aspirants who have passed NIOS with PCM (Foundation certificate courses, conducted at the institute level) can also apply.

All programmes are eligible for scholarships from SMAID. Students who fall under the Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) category are eligible for scholarships from the institution. The scholarships could pay for additional costs like hostel fees and tuition. The merit of the applicants and their financial need are taken into account while awarding the scholarships. 

SMAID offer courses like B.Des, B.Plan, B.Arch, M.Des, M.Pla. All courses at SMAID are offered equal opportunities. It completely depends upon the students interest area. Des is offered by Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies & Research in Architecture and Interior Design. Candidates must have met the fundamental requirements for eligibility, which include passing the 10+2 exam in the Group A scientific stream, the Group AB commerce stream, and 40% overall in the arts stream from an accredited board. Candidates who have completed NIOS (10+2)* (Foundation Certificate Courses, held at the Institute level) are also eligible, which is an additional alternative criterion.
