Good college for learning coding skills.
Placements: I am still studying at NIAT, so our placement process is going on. From what our seniors share, a good number of students get placed in software companies with decent salary packages. Some students also receive internship opportunities before placements. Companies usually look for coding skills and projects, so NIAT gives us good practice from the first year itself.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are neat, and labs have good systems for coding practice. Campus Wi-Fi works well most of the time. The library is useful for studying. The hostel rooms are okay, the mess food is also okay, and there is a canteen too. Sports and basic medical facilities are also available on campus.
Faculty: Mentors are supportive and explain concepts in a simple way. Along with academics, we learn coding through projects and practical sessions, which help improve our skills. The curriculum is relevant and focuses on industry needs. Semester exams are manageable if we attend classes regularly and prepare well. Most students pass without much difficulty.
Other: I chose this course because I want to build strong coding skills along with my degree. The best part is the practical learning, projects, and supportive mentors. I feel more industry-ready compared to a regular course. Campus events and extracurricular activities are enjoyable, and the overall environment is friendly. I only wish there were even more company interaction sessions and hackathons throughout the year.
