The Symbiosis School of International Studies (SSIS) was established in 2012 to bring the IR discourse to the Western region of the country and is affiliated to Symbiosis International University. SSIS provides a platform for teaching and research in international relations, with an emphasis on India and its role in global affairs. SSIS is the only institute in the western part of India, offering a full-time Master’s programme in International Studies.
