VJIM Students Explore Organic Farming and Rural Development at DRNVJIRD
March 5, 2025: In the year 2024-25, the Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) embarked on a journey to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice. The institute launched its transformative Rural Immersion Program, offering students an invaluable opportunity to connect with rural India. Dr. Amanat Husain, Assistant Professor in Agribusiness at VJIM, is the faculty coordinator for the rural immersion program which is aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the agricultural landscape and its challenges. The program was not only supported by academic faculty but also received significant involvement from the senior leadership of the institute. This active involvement from the leadership team reflected VJIM's commitment to providing a well-rounded and enriching educational experience for its students.

The immersion program welcomed students from the 31st and 32nd batches, with a total strength of 510 participants. Another major highlight was a visit to the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). At the KVK, students learned about the vital role these centres play in offering training, demonstrations, and advisory services to farmers. They also discovered the cutting-edge agricultural technologies and research innovations that KVKs promote, along with the extension services they provide, such as village outreach programs and Kisan Melas.
VJIM CONVOCATION HELD at November 29, 2023
November 29, 2023: The 29th Convocation of the Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM}) was held at the Bachupally campus of the Institute with somber grandeur. Renowned scientist and Director General (Missiles and Strategic Systems) of DRDO, U. Raja Babu, served as the event's chief guest, gave the convocation speech, and then awarded prizes to the deserving students. He offered his congratulations to the graduating students on their accomplishments and the start of a new chapter in their lives.
President Vignana Jyothi, Mr. Daggubati Suresh Babu, noted that every graduating student experiences excitement when earning their diploma, and he expressed to the students his own thoughts while receiving his degree from the University of Michigan in the United States. Given that the business school has partnered with the Asian Institute of Technology and the Harward Business Publishing, he added that VJIM is moving in the right direction.
The esteemed guest of honor, Prof Vishal Gupta of IIM-Ahmedabad, focused on the opportunities being created in the field of management and the high calibre of business management education. In his speech, Prof P. Srinivas Subbarao, Director of VJIM, greeted the visitors and expressed gratitude to the management for their cooperation. The Vignana Jyothi General Secretary, J. S. Rao, Chairman, VJIM, K. Harishchandra Prasad, and other Vignana Jyothi management personnel were also present at the program.
VJIM 29th CONVOCATION PRESS NOTE
November 28, 2023: On Friday, November 24th, the 29th Convocation of Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) was held in the VJIM auditorium in Bachupally, Hyderabad. The convocation's chief guest was Sri U. Raja Babu, Director General, DRDO, Hyderabad, while the honorary guest was Dr Vishal Gupta, Professor, IIM Ahmedabad. The President Vignana Jyothi Sri Daggubati Suresh Babu, Secretary Sri. J. Seshagiri Rao, Chairman VJIM, Sri K. Harishchandra Prasad, Vice-President Vignana Jyothi Sri Kode Durga Prasad IPS Retd., members General Council Vignana Jyothi Sri G. Krishna Prasad and Sri Harish Cherukuri were also present. The 29th batch of VJIM students graduated with a total of 134 Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The ceremony was presided over by Dean Academics Dr Nalluri Padmaja, who was accompanied by Faculty Finance Dr. Vishal Kutchu. The convocation began with dignitaries marching into the auditorium, escorted by VJIM faculty. The program began with the lighting of the ritual lamp, followed by an invocation by the VJIM girl students.
Prof P. Srinivasa Subba Rao, Director of the Institute, delivered the annual report, highlighting academic achievements, faculty and learning resources, and future goals. According to Prof Subba Rao, VJIM is currently ranked 32nd among the Top 100 B Schools in India and 8th in South India in the Times of India B School Survey 2023, 12th Top Private B-schools -South zone, 2nd in Hyderabad according to Outlook magazine, and 64th Top Private B-schools overall, 21st (South India) according to the Week magazine. The Director also emphasized VJIM's new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok, which represents a significant step forward in international collaboration. Furthermore, VJIM has signed on to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education, whose purpose is to transform management education and equip tomorrow's responsible decision-makers to enhance sustainable development. VJIM has established the VJIM ALUMNI SUSTAINABILITY AWARD to encourage the spirit of sustainability.
Kadiyala Madhumita, Musunuri Bhavana, Manjusha Juluri, Kodavati Bhavitha Lakshmi, Sunanda Mudunuri, Kashish Ram Jetwalani, M S B Manohar, Kirthika Budumuru, Sunkara Sravana Sandhya, and Abhishek Pathangi were among the medal winners. The auditorium was packed with the graduating students' parents, family members, and friends. The convocation concluded with the playing of the national anthem.

The VJIM the highest package for the 2025 batch stood at INR 12.16 LPA. However, the placement process is ongoing. So the salary might change later. Earlier, the highest package offered during Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management placements 2024 was INR 34.5 LPA and in 2023 it stood at INR 8.7 LP

The VJIM average package for the 2025 passing out batch was INR 6.32 LPA. Earlier, the average package offered to the 2024 batch was INR 7.22 LPA. The average package 2023 was INR 6.3 LPA.

The percentage of students placed during the academic year 2024-25 was 76%. It must be noted that the placements 2025 are ongoing. Looking at the past three years statistics, a declining trend in the VJIM placement percentage. The placement rate for the 2024 batch was 81% and in 2023 it stood at 84%

For admissions into the PGDM course, VJIM opens its admission portal in the month of October/ November, and the deadlines are usually announced in the months of February and March. Along with these application schedules, students should follow the dates of entrance exams.
