AP EAMCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria and Test Centres
One of the most important eligibility criteria for AP EAMCET 2016 is that the candidate should have passed his/her 10+2 from a recognized board with Mathematics and English as main subjects. Aspirants need to fulfill all the necessary requirements to appear for the exam, only then he/she will be allowed to sit for the entrance test. AP EAMCET 2016 is a national level entrance examination, conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on behalf of the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The online application process for the exam has begun on the official website of AP EAMCET. Interested candidates can fill up the form online on or before March 21, 2016, which is last date to apply for the exam.

Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on April 29, 2016, at various locations across Andhra Pradesh. By appearing for the exam, candidates can secure admissions into engineering, architecture and medical courses at different colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Eligible candidates can go through the application process for AP EAMCET 2016 to make sure their registration is successful.
AP EAMCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for AP EAMCET, need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to be able to appear for the exam. Following is the eligibility criteria for AP EAMCET 2016:
1. Applicants should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
2. He/she should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and must satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
3. For Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), B.Tech. (Dairy), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. [Food Science and Technology (FS & T)], B.Sc. [Commercial Agriculture and Business Management (CA & BM)] courses:
- Candidates who have passed or appeared for the final year of (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional courses, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, can appear for the exam. Also, students enrolled from academic year 2000 onwards, or any other examination recognized as equivalent, can appear for the exam.
OR
- Candidates who have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering, conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or equivalent board, can apply for AP EAMCET.
4. To appear for Engineering, Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
5. Students appearing for B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (FS & T) and B.Sc. (CA & BM), should make sure that they complete 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
6. Appearing candidate should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, to be able to apply for the exam.

AP EAMCET used to be a common exam for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, but after their partition in 2015, both the states started their individual exam. Now, Andhra Pradesh conducts AP EAMCET, and Telangana host TS EAMCET for aspirants in their states.
