IIT Bhubaneswar is inviting application for admission to PhD courses. Students can apply on or before November 25.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar is now inviting application for admission to PhD courses for the spring semester, 2020-21.

Courses that are available in the following schools are 1. Basic Sciences: BioSciences, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. 2. Earth, Ocean & Climate Sciences; Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences, Geology 3. Electrical Sciences: Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering 4. Humanities, Social Sciences and Management: Economics, English, Psychology 5. Infrastructure (Civil Engineering): Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering 6. Mechanical Sciences: Mechanical Engineering 7. Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering: Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

Admissions are offered under Institute Scholar; Sponsored Scholar and Project Scholar (Projects running at IIT Bhubaneswar) categories. Students are advised to visit the official website of the institute to get more details on the admission; i.e. iitbbs.ac.in.

Students can submit the application online on or before November 25, 2020, latest by 11 pm. The application fee is Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ST PwD categories). Female applicants are exempted from payment of application fee. IIT Bhubaneswar was set up as a part of the eight new IITs established by the Indian Government following The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011. The institute stood at 17th rank among the Engineering colleges in India as per NIRF 2019 rankings.

In its constant endeavour to impart students with the best education, IIT Bhubaneswar offers more than 20 courses across the Engineering stream at UG, PG and PhD level. Admission to 4 years BTech programme is done based on the rank of the applicant in the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling.
