JEE Main 2021: JAIN University offers scholarships for BTech courses
Candidates with higher percentiles in the JEE Main can apply for the scholarship and 15 per cent of seats are reserved for JEE candidates. They can also avail of scholarships under defence, sports, and SC/T categories.
JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is offering meritorious scholarships based on JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2021 scores for students seeking admission to BTech courses offered at the institute. Candidates with higher percentiles in the JEE Main can apply for the scholarship and 15 per cent of seats are reserved for JEE candidates. They can also avail of scholarships under defence, sports, and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe categories.
Eligibility for scholarship
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must fulfil the minimum requirements given below:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India and residing in the country
- The candidate who has secured minimum of 60 per cent and above in 12th/2nd PUC/equivalent examination board prescribed as per AICTE and UGC.
Category-wise scholarships
Sports scholarship
- Candidates who have won/participated at the National level in Super-A Games or B-Games during five years of basic education in India.
- Candidates who have participated and won trophy/medals in Super-A and B- Games while studying in from class 8 and 12 (five years).
- The decision/approval by the scholarship committee will be final and abiding.
Defence scholarship
- Wards of serving/ex armed forces personnel can apply
- Candidates need to possess a defence certificate (in-service).
- Needs to possess defence certificate issued by Joint Director/Deputy Director (ex-defence personnel).
- The decision/approval by the scholarship committee will be final and abiding.
SC/ST category
- Candidates will have to produce a caste certificate/caste income certificate issued by the concerned Jurisdictional Tahsildar as per government regulations.
- Form 'D' to be made available to the scholarship committee
- The decision/approval by the scholarship committee will be final and abiding.
The final list of JEE meritorious scholarship selected candidates will be published on the university's website. The university grants scholarships up to 25 per cent (one year only) on tuition fees payable by the candidate and recurring performance-based scholarships as per the norms set by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).
