National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the list of JEE Main 2021 participating institutes on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who qualify JEE Main 2021 will be eligible for admissions into 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 28 Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Based on the JEE Main 2021 ranks secured by the candidates and their preference, admissions will be done by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Along with the list of JEE Main 2021 participating institutes, various states such as Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh and more also accept admissions on the basis of JEE Main scores. Many private institutes also accept JEE Main marks as the basis of admissions.
In 2021, NTA is conducting JEE Main in four sessions - February, March, April and May. However, due to the COVID-19 resurgence, the April session has been postponed till further notice by the authorities. Candidates have the option to attempt one session or more than one. In case the candidates attempt more than one session, then the best score will be taken into consideration for admissions. Those who fall under the top 2,50,000 qualified candidates will be able to attempt JEE Advanced 2021 and have a chance for admissions into the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

JoSAA 2021
After all of the JEE Main 2021 sessions are completed, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will commence the registration process for JoSAA 2021. Qualified candidates will have to log in and select their choice of course and colleges in the order of preference. Allotment of seats will be done as per merit, eligibility, preference and availability of seats. Once the candidates are allotted, they will have to confirm their seats by paying the required fee and submitting the documents. Failure to do so before the expected date will lead to the cancellation of their admission.
