Candidate who are appearing for the final year degree examination are also be eligible. Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB. Candidate who passed all the subjects of the three years of any Degree course in one sitting is not eligible for admission.
After 10th Diploma	Candidate must have passed SSC Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and have obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination from a recognised board/Institute. Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognised as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State should have passed all the subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% marks in each subject. Result awaiting students may also apply on provisional basis.
B.E. / B.Tech	Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering or any other examination recognised as equivalent there to, from a recognised Institute/ University, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana are also eligible. Candidates who have appeared in Diploma in Engineering and who are awaiting their results can also apply on provisional basis. Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana. Candidate should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission (2023). There is no upper age limit.

Mohan Babu University and Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research both are renowned universities for B.E. / B.Tech. However, in terms of affordability, Mohan Babu University is a better option since the total tuition fee for Mohan Babu University is INR 460,000 - INR 1,000,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research is INR 620,000 - INR 1,440,000. In the total fees that students generally end up paying the university or the college, various other components are also included, such as the exam fee, application fee, lab and other charges.

The admission process starts with the registration for AITAM and Andhra Pradesh ICET. After Andhra Pradesh ICET registration, a correction window is usually opened for students to make changes to their application. The Andhra Pradesh ICET exam is generally held in May, with results declared in the same month. Following this, the counselling process for seat allotment begins a around July. Once seats are allocated, the university conducts an orientation session. 

SVCET Chittoor offers admission on the basis of merit and entrance. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 45% to 50% in Class 12. Whereas, for graduation, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% to seek admission at PG level programme. The college offers eight specializations under the B.Tech course. The course has a duration of four years. To be eligible for admission, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 45%. For selection, candidates have to take the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET if they are from Andhra Pradesh, or the JEE Main if they are from the rest of India.
