Mystory@Mhonroni Jungio: I was destined to study Anthropology
After my class 12 exam, I was taking coaching to appear for medical entrance exams. During that time, one day I went to a café with my friend where I read a magazine. It had an article on the newly discovered fossil by an anthropologist. That article piqued my interest so much that I clicked a photograph of that article.
Meanwhile, I took the medical entrance exams but my results were in negative. I was more confused; and tired of thinking about the future. Though I hadn't prepared enough for the college entrance exam and was internally preparing myself to take a gap of one year, I appeared for Kohima Science College entrance exam. More than 1000 students were taking the exam but I wasn’t bothered as I had a Plan B. Merit list of the exam was released online on the same day. My name was not among the 200 students who were selected. After some minutes of despair I checked the waiting list and found my name on number 15. I was so relieved. And with that I realized I wasn’t going for Plan B; it was Plan A for me all along.
My parents wanted me to take up Geology and I was ready for it too. But I got only Geography and Anthropology. Fortunately, I was already very much interested in the latter and so began my pursuit of knowledge of the history of human.
