10th Annual Super Achievers Awards makes a splash at Indira Group of Institutes, Pune: Press Release
Recognizing the young achievers from varied sectors, Indira Group of Institutes (IGI ) celebrated its Super Achiever's Awards for the 10th year in a row. The event was hosted by Dr. R.L. Bhatia, CEO, Fun and Joy at Work. The award ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Tarita Shankar, Chairperson, IGI , and Mr. Chetan Wakalkar, Group Director, IGI in the presence of Ms. Madhuri Sathe, Head- Corporate Relations, and other Directors and faculty of IGI. The Awards recognize the professionals who have carved a niche for themselves in their relative industries with their path breaking performance. 
The 10th Super Achievers Awards, celebrated over two consecutive days also witnessed the unveiling of the logo of ' World CSR Day' to be observed on February 17th. This initiative is supported by Indira Group of Institutes along with Star Network and Canon. The IGI will also sponsor another category of Awards- the Fun at Work Award for the most fun Organisation to work in. Dr. Tarita Shankar was especially happy to sponsor this Award as she believed that ‘the fun quotient in the workplace is what ensures higher productivity and better results, for the Organisation as well as for the individual". She advocated an optimum work-life balance, as indeed Indira Group tried to maintain by encouraging fun activities for the staff to explore their talents which ensured they gave their best to the Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chetan Wakalkar said," The idea behind the Super Achievers awards is to give the students real life achievers to emulate and follow. Few years ago, corporate success was being celebrated but was always invisible, through Super Achievers Awards, we have been able to provide a platform to the who's who of Corporate India and have been successful in bringing this celebration to the limelight.
Addressing the audience, Mr. M.T. Lakshmanan, Senior Vice President- Human Resource, Patni Computers System Ltd., said that ‘Human Resource is a carnivorous function and eats up every other function''. He also explained as to how the business environment has changed in the last 20 years.
Ganesh Ramakrishnan, Senior Director, Human Resources, Oracle Financial Services mentioned that success comes easily to the MAD - those who Make A Difference although it may involve persistence with their madness for some time - he gave the example of Nobel Prize Winner for Medicine Dr Barry Marshall for his stoic research on Stomach ulcers in the face of discouragement from his peers in the profession.
"Road to a good leader is being a good team member', said Ms. Debabutta Upadhyaya, Vice President- India, Vdopia Inc., while addressing the students of the institute, the importance of working as a team and finding their core strengths. 
Randeep Singh, Joint General Manager, Human Resource Technology and Intelligence, Essar Group stated that, "If you are clear about your goal, with the right team, it is sheer performance that helps you achieve your goal"
The awardees interacted with the students of IGI during knowledge sharing sessions. They acknowledged the audience's role in providing them with insights about the corporate world and enlightened them by giving the students lessons for life.
