AICTE will now accept Online Applications for New Colleges

AICTE has announced that now it will accept online applications for new colleges running MBA, MCA, diploma engineering and architecture courses. Such applications will be accepted till 31st December, 2011. Officials said that they will check the documents submitted as part of the online application process of colleges from January 1 to March 1 and officials will undertake inspection in February.

All the colleges who meet the criteria will be given permission by April end. As per the officials, the system has been rationalized to make sure that permission to new colleges is granted in time and is not delayed. In the past few years, permission to new colleges was granted by July end which interfered with the central admission process.
