Politician is a person who is well versed or experienced in the science of government and practices politics.
The Job:
It is quite difficult to specify as what are the precise parameters that need to be worked out by a politician. This is because a
politician has to ideally aim to use his authority, as a people’s leader to find effective solutions to the numerous problems that arise among the common people of the country. The politician mostly attaches himself with a particular party with which he/she thinks their ideology matches the most. Therefore, strengthening one’s party also becomes one of the main responsibilities of any politician. Politicians with the central government or at the headquarters are delegated duties by their party head while one’s responsible for a particular state or constituency have to restrict their focus on looking after all the necessary needs of the people belonging to that particular state or constituency.

Salary:
There is no salary definition for a politician initially. Money with politicians’ is very unpredictable. Some have none and some have too much.
- One starting, as party earns not much may be Rs.1000- 5000 per month where as one at a good post with their party earn quite well or at a designated post with the ruling party earn as per the scale set by the Government of India.
Job Prospects:
Work, as a politician cannot be defined. It is absolutely based on the party policies that one joins. One’s responsibility is defined according to the position and work delegated by the respective party.
Study Route:
Class XII in any stream preferably political science and social science
After Class XII You can complete your graduation in any discipline.
