CBSE exams set to start on 1st March
The Central Board of Secondary Examinations (CBSE) exams for Class X and XII with start tomorrow on 1st of March. Last year, about 5,000 students in Maharashtra (out of a total of about 16,000 students) had opted for internal tests or school-based assessment system in Class X. This year, only about 3,000 students have opted for internal tests while about 21,000 students have decided to face the board examinations.
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) conducted by the state board of Maharashtra will also start tomorrow. This year, new Science and Math exam patterns have been introduced.
CBSE and the state board of Maharashtra have both offered helpline numbers to students where they can seek counseling as well as information about the board exams. CBSE has also issued a revised list of student helpline numbers, especially for students outside India. 12 counselors from Nepal, UAE, and Japan will counsel CBSE students abroad.
