CBSE Student's Global Aptitude Index (SGAI) in November
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently announced its fourth edition of the Student's Global Aptitude Index (SGAI).
SGAI - a paper-pencil tool - is a psychological tool which fuses together Aptitude, Interest, Personality and academic achievement as components for the assessment of a student. However, CBSE SGAI is optional for schools and students. CBSE has emerged as the first school education board to conduct such a test at a national level.
Changes in SGAI 2014:
SGAI will be conducted in November 2013, instead of January next year to provide students the assessment reports well ahead of their entry into class XI.
Registration:
- There will no separate registrations this year. However, the registration will be clubbed with the online list of candidates (LOC) of class X students for academic session 2013-14
- Schools may register students for SGAI on payment of Rs 100 per student.
- The date of registration for SGAI Fourth edition is till September 30, 2013 but not later than October 15, 2013
- There is no late fee for SGAI.
CBSE has also decided to arrange SGAI advocacy and orientation programs for schools at various locations. Subsequently, the Himachal Board of Higher Education has also partnered with CBSE and conducted SGAI for students of class X.
