DU Online Admissions will be in effect from 2012
In an effort to make the admission process simple and quick, Delhi University is planning to introduce online applications from the next session. This move has been recommended by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The pros and cons of the move will be discussed in a meeting of high-powered committee.
Most of the committee members sense that it will be a great move and it will come out as a more transparent admission process. Moreover, it will become easier for outstation students to apply. By the mid of January, the committee will come up with the final recommendations for reforms.
Students from north-east areas used to face many problems during the admission process as they have to stay in Delhi for the entire month till the admissions are over. But now with the facility of online applications, they need to visit the city only at the time of final admissions.
