ICSE & ISC results expected in May 3rd week
The Class X and XII board examinees of the Indian Secondary Certificate Examination (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) can expect their results next week. Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is set to declare the results of ICSE and ISC board exams which took place in the month of February and March this year.
Amidst rumors that the results might be delayed due to pending assessment of papers in several schools and also reports of answer papers gone missing in some schools in Kolkata, Gerry Arathoon, the additional secretary and officiating chief executive of CISCE has confirmed that the results will be out in the third week of May.
In an unfortunate and also unusual event, the geography answer papers of the entire batch of Modern High School for Girls and The Frank Anthony Public School were lost. Students have been asked to reappear for the test almost two months after finishing the Board exam, because the authorities couldn't find the lost papers. (Read full story)
As far as students are concerned, they are relieved as the wait is almost over. Students who wish to apply for further studies abroad are looking forward to getting their mark sheets as early as possible to be able to catch up with the application procedure. Class X students wanting to change over to state board for class XI studies, also cannot afford to have their board exam results delayed as the admissions would start in June.
The CISCE results 2011 were declared on May 17, and the Council is confident that the CISCE results 2012 will be out around the same time this year too. (Read more)
