IGNOU to start medical cell for doctors: Media Release
The Indira Gandhi National Open University's (IGNOU's) School of Health Sciences (SOHS) will soon be coming up with a medical cell wherein a series of Post Graduate Medical programmes having national and social relevance shall be launched.
The School is initiating the planning and development of three full-time PG Medical programmes of two-year duration each. These are Post Graduate Diploma in Anesthesia, Post Graduate Diploma in Radio diagnosis and Post Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Medicine for those with MBBS degree. These programmes aim of solving the need of trained doctors in the above specialties.
The university has created a separate cell for this purpose where these programmes will be developed under the overall guidance of senior medical faculty of the School. It has also been decided that the university shall be conducting entrance examination for admission. The recruitment process for the staff of the cell has already begun in the university and has been uploaded on the IGNOU website.
