India’s first Yoga University in Gujarat

It is not a secret anymore that India's ancient tradition of Yoga has taken the whole world by storm. Now, Gujarat is ready to flaunt a full-fledged Yoga University in Ahmedabad. Set up by Surendranagar-based Life Mission Trust, Lakulish Yoga University is claimed to be India's first ever private sector self-financed institution in its genre. It will be inaugurated on May 23, 2013.

While the academic session is likely to begin from June 15, admissions to three-years degree (six semesters) course will begin on the same day of inauguration.

The new varsity will award full-fledged degrees on course completion. Students of the degree course will be taught Ashtang Yoga, karma, knowledge, Bhakti Yoga, Philosophy, Psychology, Anatomy, Ayurveda and Naturopathy and also have practical classes.
