IP University to give scholarships of Rs. 1 crore
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is planning to distribute scholarships of Rs. 1 crore. Last year it has distributed the scholarships of Rs. 50 lakhs. Every year it gives scholarships to students from weaker sections. 
Prof. Anoop Beniwal, Director of students welfare, IP has stated that this time there are some modifications in the policy. This time the preference will be given to students who are good in reading and have a consistent academic record and whose annual income is less than 1.5 lakhs and those who are orphan.
In order to give these scholarships, the university has partnered with two agencies and if in case, the university fails to give these scholarships to students, agencies will give them.
