Kaho Whats Your Idea comes to Indore Schools
IDEA Cellular, the pan-India mobile operator conducted a unique programme, ‘Kaho What's Your Idea' - a national inter-school skills fest, for the kids of Indore. Idea took its ‘Kaho What's Your Idea' initiative to 69 schools in the city, in a major movement which is focused at developing the school children's all round personality, by engaging them in activities which promote logical thinking; Weaving a story; application of memory skills and real-life skills; besides honing their general knowledge and current affairs.
Hundreds of school children from 17 schools including DPS, Daly College, Emerald Heights, Advance Academy, New Digamber, Queens College etc, which qualified for the final round, participated in the mega event. Three students from Queens College, Druv Ilesh Shah from Advance Academy and Anand Porwal from DPS who made it to the top three - competed against each other for the title of ‘City Winner'.
Akansha Jethani from Queens College was declared the city winner and will now fight it out with the winners from other cities, in the national level skills competition.
The city finals comprise of rounds like instant recharge, talk time, third round, key pad locked and speed dial which were specially designed by counselors, principals and faculty from different schools and institutes from the country, to gauge the student's thought process and allow them to speak their mind and test themselves in a holistic manner.
School children from Indore enjoyed the skills test, even if not everybody turned out a winner.
According to Anupama Ahluwalia, senior vice president - Marketing, IDEA Cellular, "Brand Idea has always raised concerns of the society and offered a champion solution to overcome them. Idea has recognised the need for skills beyond academics, among school children. ‘Kaho What's Your Idea', a unique and pioneering skills fest gives them a platform to speak their mind and test themselves in a holistic manner during their formative age, for building a better future."
Idea's ‘Kaho What's Your Idea' programme will reach out to over two lakh children in 3,000 schools across 100 Indian cities, with the support of Derek O'Brien and Associates, which is also the content partner for the initiative.
