La Trobe University signs MoU with eminent Indian institutes
The La Trobe University, Australia is making its relationship stronger with the Indian institutes. Professor John Rosenberg, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Vice-President of La Trobe University has inaugurated La Trobe's South Asia office in Delhi. This office will fulfill La Trobe's commitment towards South Asia in developing strong partnership with leading universities and companies that can lead to collaborative projects. 
La Trobe is looking forward for more Indian Students at the university and underway to build strong research collaborations with Indian institutions. He has also participated in the celebration of 15th Anniversary of partnership with Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), Delhi. Leading academics and researchers from La Trobe University has accompanied him.
He has also signed a MoU with Delhi Technological University. The purpose of this MoU is to promote collaborative research, joint student projects, student and staff exchange, study tour, internships, and articulation opportunities. Some discussions are still underway for 2+2 joint degree programs in UG area and 1+1 joint degree programs in PG area.
On 7th December, 2011, John Rosenberg and his delegates will travel to Bengaluru to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Presidency College, Bengaluru University. On 8th December, 2011, the delegation of La Trobe will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IIT Madras. He said that this MoU is extremely important for the university.
He has also announced a scholarship worth $5,000 for an IIT student to undertake an internship program at La Trobe University. The main focus of this collaboration will be to develop collaborative research projects, joint PhD opportunities and student/staff exchange in areas including computer science, electronic engineering and biotechnology.
