The less expensive education in India with quality has attracted more American students to Indian universities.

According to a US official, the low cost and quality education in India attracts American students to Indian universities. Anand Krishna, Information Officer with the US Consulate General said that it is one of the biggest reasons as why American students are attracted towards Indian universities. Cost of the education is high in US and it is increasing at an exponential rate.

According to a data released by United States India Educational Foundation (USIEF), there has been a 44.4 per cent increase in the number of American students studying in Indian universities.

Most of the American students are attracted by IIMs and IITs. Usually, their ultimate interest lies in journalism. But the most important fact is that they are looking for institutes in India. Last year 2,690 American students came to the country while this year the figure is 3,884.
