MDI announces Admissions for 5th Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management
1st June 2010 Gurgaon: MDI Gurgaon, one of the premier B-schools in India, announces admissions for the 5th batch of Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management (PGP-PPM). MDI is among the three B-schools in the country to offer this programme. The programme is in collaboration with The Department of Personnel Training (DoPT), Govt. of India, which has signed a 5 year MoU with the MDI for the programme.
Group ‘A' officers of All India Services, Central Services with 7 years of service and Group A (Class -I) officers of State Civil Service with 9 years of service (sponsored by DOPT, Govt. of India) and the executives and mid-career professionals from public sector undertakings, agencies, corporate organizations, non-profit sectors and individuals dealing with pubic affairs and management issues with minimum 10 years of work experience can apply for the programme.
Duration of this course is 12 months residential including a 6 week term in an international school and 9 months at the respective work places of the participants.
The PGP-PPM is headed by Dr. Arun Kumar Rath who during his three decades of civil service career has made significant contributions to administration and public services in the government and the corporate sector through his contributions to public sector reforms, education and improvement of corporate governance and strategic management of the enterprises.
The Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management offers a unique integration of public policy formulation, analysis and implementation with management concepts, tools and techniques. The purpose is to enhance the sensibility and capability of the participants to better manage the public policy programmes and systems as well as to make them understand the global trends and practices in these areas to allow exploration of innovative options and choices.
