National Online Examination System launched by Kapil Sibal
The Union Minister for communications, IT and HRD, Kapil Sibal has launched the 'National Online Examination System' for colleges and universities. This new mechanism will make the examination system more transparent and hassle-free.
This system has been developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the sponsorship by the department of information technology, Government of India. The national online examination system enables examinations to be conducted at multiple locations spread all across the nation over multiple slots over a longer period.
Features of this system:
- Select date
- Select time
- Select venue
The traditional paper-based manual examination system is time-consuming, inefficient, and unfriendly to the environment while the new system would prove to be hassle-free, fair, fast and efficient evaluation process.
By the use of this system, the time taken from publication of advertisement to declaration of the final results will be around 45 days for large recruitment drives, said Director General Rajat Moona, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing's (C-DAC).
