The cost of prospectus for Nursery Admission in metro centers has spiked by nearly ten times during the course of past decade.

Parents are looking for the best school so that their kids will get best personal care. It is the season of nursery admissions and parents are in buzz as it is a costly job.

According to Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), the cost of application forms for nursery admissions has increased by 10 times, during the course of last decade. As per this report, the cost of application forms for IIMs, DU, IICA, and IICS is cheaper than nursery prospectus.

Last year, leading public schools in Delhi have earned a revenue of Rs. 1000 crore only through sale of nursery admission forms and this year it is expected that the revenue will increase to Rs. 1200 crore. To fix this problem, ASSOCHAM has mooted a suggestion for a centralized nursery admission form for all sections to Department of Education (DTE). (Read More...)

There are over 3,000 public schools in Delhi which normally sell prospectus, containing details about admission processes in their individual schools for a sum of Rs.800-1,000/-. Sometimes parents have to buy prospectus as it contains the significant details about the admission procedure along with the admission forms.

Spiked cost of application forms has shaken the financial budget of many families in metro cities.
