Presidency University declared as Cluster Innovation Center in Eastern India

The Centre has declared the prestigious Presidency University the first Cluster Innovation Centre in eastern India.

Presidency University has been declared as the first ‘Cluster Innovation Center' in Eastern India. Vice-Chancellor Malabika Sarkar expressed her triumph over the achievement and she said that it would help the university to achieve a synergy of research, academics and industry.

The National Innovation Council has envisioned Cluster Innovation Centers (CIC) as focal points to promote innovation in and around the university system. It is expected from such innovation centers that they will work as independent bodies inside the university and facilitate collaborations between various stakeholders to create new knowledge, products, and processes.
