Quick DU semester results, 2350 to appear again

The much awaited DU Semester results have been declared much before expected time.

Putting an end to everyone's anxiety, the much awaited DU semester results were out on Wednesday. To everyone's surprise, this is for the first time that the DU results have been declared in such a short span of time of three weeks. The results declared by Delhi University includes the first semester results for Political science (H), Economics (H), English (H), Urdu (H), Arabic (H), Persian (H) and B.Com(Hons).

Nearly 8500 students appeared for examinations in these subjects. Despite the fact, that no students have been detained, yet a large number of them need to clear one or more papers in the exams that follow as they have failed to clear these. In B.com (H), over 80% students have managed to clear the exams. However, more than 2350 students have failed to clear all the papers in the first go and have been placed in the essential repeat (ER) category.

One of the DU exam branch officers was quoted saying, "Majority of the students managed to clear the exams without any ER. However, over 2,000 students will have to repeat one or more papers. These students are nevertheless allowed promotion to the second semester." Read more

With the results being declared within three weeks, DU has proved all the apprehensions of the results being delayed wrong. However, these semester exams have not been a cakewalk. It was alleged of violating the DU ordinance of detaining of around 350 students for shortage of attendance.
