Sikkim Manipal University signed MoU with Edinburgh Napier University (ENU)
Sikkim Manipal University-Directorate of Distance Education (SMU-DDE) has signed MoU with Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) on 9th September, 2011. Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) is a premier university and one of the largest universities in UK. This association will result in advancement in teaching, research, academic collaboration, cultural understanding and to create avenues for enhancing student experience. 
This collaboration will create strong base for exchange and sharing of academic, scientific and cultural experience. ENU will act as an academic partner by fulfilling the educational needs of the students by providing them with the academic training and infrastructure. SMU-DE degree holders will be given the option to get an additional MBA degree from ENU by enrolling 60 out of 180 credits of the ENU MBA program.
India is one of the world's largest economies with handful of resources; it's our pleasure to work with one of the leading universities based in India. This collaboration will cultivate academic relations between two nations and will cater with the research collaborations, said ENU Dean, Prof. George Stonehouse.
Prof N S Ramesh Murthy, Director, SMU-DDE said, this MoU will be a strong foundation for academic relations and will also promote knowledge sharing. Students who will opt for a term at ENU's Craiglockhart campus will have an added advantage of working part-time (20 hours per week with minimum wages of 20 £ per hour).
