Yes, Calicut University is a part of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of College and University students that is run by MHRD. Such a scholarship is used to assist needy students with tuition fees as well as maintenance and other needs. Eligibility criteria involves full time UG/PG course with marks of 55 percent in the previous exam. It is applied via internet at the MHRD site, as well as the university courses provide an acknowledgment cell to assist with the procedure and different sorts of scholarships.

CUSAT has consistently remained one of the top-ranked public universities in the state of Kerala, with a ranking of #51 in the overall category. A Common Admission Test (MGU CAT) is used for the purpose of the MG University application procedure for all courses offered on the university campus. To apply for any of the programmes, candidates must first register online at the MGU CAT official website. In terms of placements, the University has maintained a decent track record. The official placement report or brochure is yet to be released. As per the data gathered from the NIRF report 2024, 156 out of 818 PG (2-year) graduates were placed in 2023. Earlier, 234 out of 803 students were placed in the 2022 drive. Kannur University offers a Diploma in Tulu which is a one-year course. The course duration is further divided into two semesters. The university conducts classes for the programme on only on Saturdays. Over one year, there are 200 teaching hours in total. The medium of instruction and examination is Kannada. The course curriculum includes learning about the history and literature of Tulu. It also includes a project work which can be carried out as field work or desk work. A written project/document must be submitted to the University at the end of the second semester. The project is evaluated by an external examiner.
