Mystory@Ex Capt Narendra Singh Parihar

I was born in a small family in the house of a soldier. My father was in the Indian Army. He participated in the 1962, 1965 and 1971 war. I grew up in Bundelkhand village in UP where there was no light, no roads and no water facilities. I got admission in Sanatan Dharm Inter College, Orai, which was 18 km away from my village. I stayed in a rented room which had no power supply. I used to do my studies in the light of a lantern.

highest rank of Jawan as a Subedar Major(H/Captain).

After my Intermediate, I joined the Indian Army as Gunner Clerk in the Artillery Corps. I did my service with honesty, dedication and enthusiasm and earned the highest rank of Jawan as a Subedar Major(H/Captain) with exemplary character.

I participated in various operations in the Army from 1980 to 2012 during my 32 year tenure and got commendation card from Chief of the Army staff. I served as an instructor and prepared thousands of students who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the country.

It gave me immense pleasure to have served the nation and I’m always ready to do my best to contribute to my country. Now I am in Ambuja Cement Ltd at a respectable post.

Today, I feel proud as a father of three engineers (two sons and a daughter). One day I could get a bicycle to go to school which was 18 km away from home, and today I can provide a car if my children need it.

I am proud of my parents and grateful to them and my teachers for their guidance and unwavering support, giving me the courage to face problems in life with a positive attitude.
