I spent two years studying Science before I chose English Literature. While on one hand I fought with the complex equations and calculations, on the other, I yearned to be back with my love, English. I am deeply passionate about English Literature and writing but situations led me to the world of Science. I knew I didn't belong there and I finally bid goodbye to Science after Higher Secondary examinations, and set out to pursue BA English (Language and Literature). But, it wasn't an easy job. Nearly everyone resented the idea. I was also determined and done with Science. Finally after many long and heated arguments I found my way to pursue my passion.

That's when the next set of troubles started. I had a very hard time joining the college of my choice. Those were days of stress and frustration. Being a CBSE student, I felt I had little chance of getting admission there. Finally one day I got the call from MES Ponnani College. It was a great day of my life.

All about my college years

Soon after I joined MES Ponnani College, I met some really good people --my friends and faculty members. I was an introvert when I joined college. Even though I write well I kept away from college events and competitions. Today I'm a totally different person and I owe it to my dear teachers. It was they who brought me into the limelight. Apart from my family, it was my teachers and my friends who nurtured the writer in me.

My friends and I even started holding events in college which taught me organizational skills and management. It gave me great joy when those self-conducted programmes became great successes.

My college days fueled me with the spirit to raise voice against any injustice. They taught me how to protest against the malpractices of the society and how to be on your own. I became more socially responsible. I realized the importance of having big dreams and goals.

From the very beginning to this day, I never regretted my decision even once. Because every day in college gives me a new memory. And that's where I belong.
