Mystory@Kunal Pillay: How I made my career – Challenges and successes
I have a lot to say about my work experience. I have managed to work for around 15 to 17 companies; most of them being BPOs. I made good money out of it but never liked the profile. I also worked for IT companies which offered me the perfect shift, money, environment and the best of people I could ever ask for. But none of these gave the satisfaction and peace I always wanted. It took me a while to realise that I could not work under or for someone. I was bad as it.
Now I own a small restaurant on wheels. I cook, sell, earn, spend and also save money. Most importantly, I am at peace. For everyone reading this, I would say that never give up. Happiness comes in small packages too. Do what makes you happy that is when you will live happy.
What I am doing right now is something I should have started with. I made one mistake and would request others not to make the same one. I absconded most of the companies I worked for though I do have an experience of 4 years on paper.
I am 27 and still an undergraduate student however I haven't yet given up. In fact, today I appeared for my first paper for BA final year. Hopefully, I will be a graduate one day.
