Mystory@Laxmi: How I selected my college and course
After completing Class 12 I was confused about which course to choose in Graduation so I went with the flow. I had secured 78% in Class 12 so, I couldn’t make it to any college of Delhi University in the first cutoff list. In the second cutoff list, I got English Honours at Moti Lal Nehru (Eve) College. Before taking admission I discussed with many people about the advantages of doing this course and everyone gave a positive feedback. So I finally took admission in English Honours at Moti Lal Nehru (Eve) College. During the admission process, I went around doing everything on my own as there was no one to help me. It took around 3-4 days and after that I felt relieved that finally my college life will start now.
My college time was 3 pm to 6 pm so my father suggested that I should pursue another course during morning hours. One of my family members suggested a diploma course in Office Management from YWCA. I went through the details of the course and timing of the college then decided to pursue it.
In my 2nd year I also started my diploma course and from that day onwards my life became very hectic. From 8 am to 2 pm I would attend Office Management classes, then from 3 pm-6 pm English Honours classes, but I knew this stressful routine will bear me fruits in future.
