1. Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream

You must have completed a 3-year or 4-year undergraduate degree from a recognized university, including:

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
• Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
• B.Voc
• Any equivalent bachelor's degree

2. Mathematics Requirement (Important)

Most universities require candidates to have studied Mathematics at either 10+2 level or undergraduate level.

The mathematics requirement is mandatory since the course content of MCA involves logic building, programming, algorithms, and data structures, each of which requires mathematics knowledge.

3. Minimum Marks Requirement

The minimum percentage requirement is set by many institutes, usually:

• A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree for the general category students
• A minimum of 45% for reserved categories

4. Final-Year Students Eligibility

Candidates in this category may need to complete a bridge course in accordance with PTU norms.
