IIM-Bangalore ranked No.1 B-school in Central Asia

With its headquarters in Paris, Eduniversal is a global ranking and rating agency which specializes in higher education. Launched in 1994, the company offers the annual ranking of the Best 1000 Business Schools in 154 countries and ranking of the best 4000 Masters and MBA programs in 30 specializations worldwide. The zone-wise ranking identifies top three B-schools in nine geographic locations around the world.

As per the Eduniversal 2013 Ratings and Rankings, the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIM-B) grabbed the first rank among B-schools in Central Asia in the category of “Universal Business School”. IIM B is followed by the IIM-A at No.2 in the same category.

IIM- Calcutta has grabbed the first position under the "4 Palmes - TOP Business School" category but is at the third rank in Central Asia.

Central Asia includes ten countries - Bangladesh, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and India.

The National University of Singapore led the way in Far East Asia while Harvard Business School and London Business School topped the list in North America and Western Europe respectively.

While ranking, two essential factors were taken into consideration - the internationalization criteria and the deans' vote. The latter is peer assessment where the dean is asked to highlight an institute she'd suggest to students.
