IIM Tiruchirappalli wraps up Summer Placement for PGP 2014-16

The summer placement process at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch 2014-16 ended with highest stipend being offered for Rs 1,40,000. The average stipend bagged by students is Rs 45,000.

Out of a batch of 104 students, 91 students registered for the summer placement process. A total of 91 offers were made by 41 participating firms in the recruitment process. The average stipend offered to top 20 percentile stood at Ra 1,07,000 while for top 50 percentile the average stipend is Rs Rs 69,110. About 87% of the batch had an average work experience of 28 months.

Sales & Marketing was the most opted domain by the students with almost half of the batch, 49%, going for the domain. Finance proved to be the second most chosen domain with 14% of the students opting for it. About 11% of the students took Consulting as their preferred domain followed by HR & IT, Public Policy and Advertising each at 7% and Strategy & operations chosen by 5% of the students.

Various top companies visited the campus for the first time to recruit students. Companies like Deloitte, DELL, Robert Bosch, Philip Capital, Shaadi.com, Zapak.com, Rakshak Foundation, Carbon Cleaning Solutions, and few more were the first time recruiters.
