IIM Trichy Admission Process and Important Dates 2026

Candidates willing to get admission to various courses must apply online on the official website of IIM Trichy. For admission to its PGPM/ MBA programme, the institute accepts the Common Admission Test (CAT) scores. IIM Tiruchirappalli admissions are conducted through the Common Admission Process (CAP). Infrastructure: The college usually follows a lot of formalities to maintain its standards at a high level. Placements: The college was ranked for placements by various organizations. The highest, average, and the least package provided to the hired students from our college was 17.8 LPA, 6.5 LPA, and 4.3 LPA, which was given by various corporate companies for the disciplines of PGPM.

Infrastructure: The regulations of the college have changed every four years. There was relaxing seating available in the canteen areas. Canteen areas were handled by the professional contractors, but this changed when there will be a lot of complaints were received from students.

Faculty: Teachers simultaneously collect various feedback on all the subjects, coaching, and about all the subject teachers, thrice in a semester. All this feedback was submitted to the Head of Department, who would take mandatory measures to resolve any issues that arise.

Placements: Given the condition of the market, Trichy is doing the best among all the new and baby IIMs. Top roles include investment banking analyst and CEO office. Top recruiting companies include JP Morgan, Tata Consumer Products, Avalon Consulting, and Microsoft.

Infrastructure: Hostels and classrooms are great. Our college has a green campus, with a large artificial lake and sports complex with facilities for every sport that one would want to play. It also includes gym and swimming pool. LRC is a 5-floor library with all the access to modern research sources.

Faculty: All faculty members are Ph.D. holders in their fields and come with long-term corporate and teaching experience. Course curriculum is practically designed as per the market needs and it aims to make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are challenging as the curriculum is very rigorous.

IIM Trichy has a different application process for each of the courses, including PGPM, PGPM-HR, DPM, EDPM and PGDBM. The details regarding the same are as follows:

For PGPM and PGPM-HR programmes:

The application process of IIM Trichy for PGPM and PGPM-HR takes place via CAT. Therefore, candidates need to visit the official website of CAT (www.iimcat.ac.in) to register themselves.

For PGDBM programme:

Interested candidates willing to pursue the PGDBM programme at IIM Trichy need to apply in the prescribed format through the application form available on the official website (www.iimtrichy.ac.in/pgpbm). A non-refundable application fee* has to be remitted to “IIMT Chennai Centre." The transaction reference number/ DD number has to be quoted in the application form in the relevant field. Candidates availing of concessional application fees are required to attach a copy of the relevant caste certificate with their application.

Q: What is the eligibility criteria for IIM Tiruchirappalli PGPM-HR admissions?

The eligibility criteria for IIM Tiruchirappalli PGPM-HR admissions is that candidate should have passed graduation with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates). Also, those candidates who are appearing for the final year of their UG degree and are waiting for results can also apply. However, if the student is selected then admission of such candidates will be provisional depending on the submission of a pre-final Certificate signed by competent authorities of the previous institute/ university, the latest by June 30 of the year of admission.

Q: Can I fill the CAT application form offline?

No, the CAT application form can only be filled out online on the official website iimcat.ac.in. There is no option to submit the CAT form in offline mode. Candidates will have to create an account on the CAT website once the registrations begin and fill out the CAT form through that candidate account. Candidates must also note that no other website hosts the CAT form other than iimcat.ac.in

There is no provision of paying CAT fees in cash, challan or Demand Draft either. The CAT registration fee can be paid online only through Internet banking, credit/debit cards or mobile wallets only. The payment window will be available in the candidate dashboard as part of the CAT application form. Candidates have to simply follow the instructions to pay the fee. Candidates must note that fee payment is mandatory for CAT form filling. Until the fee is paid successfully, the form will not be accepted. Thus, candidates must check the fee payment acknowledgement slip after making the payment.
