IIMB claims third spot in Global MOOC Business School Rankings

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore or IIMB has been ranked third in MOOCLab's Business School Rankings 2020 on account of its design, delivery, and provision of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The rankings are famous for their World University Rankings by MOOC Performance. MOOCLab's Business School Rankings 2020 assess schools on five performance pointers: the provision of MOOC-based degrees, the school's teaching quality, the provision of learning pathways, the provision of credit-granting credentials. These factors check a school's performance across the number of MOOCs provided. The 2020 issue of the rankings has gauged 16 business schools across the world providing programmes on the three leading MOOC platforms: FutureLearn, Coursera, and edX. 

Based on the provision of MOOCs, this is the first-ever Business School rankings. IIMB is ranked above HEC Paris (France) and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (USA). MOOCLab acquired the ranking scores from the Financial Times Executive Education open-enrolment Rankings 2019 for Teaching. The list consists of London Business School (England), Insper (Brazil), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), ESSEC Business School (France), INSEAD (France), IE Business School (Spain), among other global B-schools. IIM Bangalore has 43 open online courses existing on the edX platform, as well as a professional certificate and 2 MicroMasters Programmes.
