ICAI extends validity period for May 2020 registered candidates due to COVID-19 outbreak

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has extended the validity of Registration Period as the May 2020 examinations were cancelled and, merged with November 2020 examinations. Now, the candidates have one-year validity for all CA course levels.
The official notification released by ICAI stated, "Students at all levels may please note that the Institute on account of cancellation and merging of May 2020 examination with November 2020 examination due to Covid-19 pandemic as a one-time measure has granted up to one-year extension in the validity period of registration at all levels. In other words, students whose validity of the registration has expired between 1 st May 2020 and 30th April 2021(including both the dates) will remain valid till 1 st May 2021 at Foundation, Intermediate and Final Level."
