ICAI Reschedules CA Inter Jan 2026 Exam Due to Maharashtra Municipal Elections
ICAI has rescheduled Paper 5 exam of CA Inter January 2026 session due to Maharashtra Municipal Elections. Check below revised exam date.
ICAI has announced rescheduling of CA Intermediate exam due to Maharashtra Municipal Elections. The Inter Group II paper 5 was scheduled on January 15, 2026, but will now be conducted on January 19, 2026. Admit card already issued for CA Inter January 2026 exam will remain valid. Rest of the exam dates remain unchanged.
“In partial modification of the Institute’s Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/JANUARY/2026 dated 23rd September 2025, it is announced for general information that due to general election of Municipal Corporations in the State of Maharashtra on 15th January 2026 (Thursday), the Chartered Accountant Intermediate Examination, Group II, Paper – 5, Auditing and Ethics, stands re-scheduled across India and abroad and the examination in the said paper shall now be held on 19th January 2026 (Monday) at the same timing(s) i.e. 2 PM to 5 PM [IST] and at the same Examination Centres. Admit Cards already issued in this regard will be valid for the re-scheduled date i.e. 19th January 2026 (Monday) ,” said the official circular by ICAI.

The ICAI provides facility of marks verification to candidates. CA Intermediate students who wish to get their answer copies reevaluated, by applying through marks verification process. The window to apply for marks verification is opened a day after the result announcement.
· Visit the ICAI eservices website
· Click on marks verification option
· Login with user ID and password
· Choose CA Inter paper(s) for marks verification
· Upload a scanned copy of your handwritten request
· Pay the requisite fee and submit the form

Yes, the candidates can apply for scorecard verification after the result announcement. The facility is available for all three course levels. The window for rechecking of a particular CA course opens a day after announcement of the result. Candidates can apply for scorecard verification within a month of result announcement along with a demand draft of INR 200 in favour of the Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi. The fee is non-refundable and the result of rechecking will be final. Students can’t apply for rechecking more than once.
