Amazon hires AKTU student for INR 1.13 crore package

Deepak, a fourth-year BTech student of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, will join the Amazon office in Ireland in September as a software developer. 

A fourth-year BTech student of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), has bagged a whopping annual salary package of INR 1.13 crore from Amazon, Dublin. 

As per a report published in Hindustan Times, Deepak, a computer science and engineering student, will join the Amazon office in Ireland in September as a software developer. Deepak’s father is a government employee at Khurja Development Authority and mother a housewife. He said, “I am very happy. My four years of hard work finally paid off.” 

“I applied for this job through the Amazon Career Page app,” Deepak said and added that, “Consistency and hard work are key to success.” He said he found difficulty while preparing for the interview due to the pandemic, but apps Google Meet and Zoom apps helped in bridging the gap.” 

University Vice-Chacellor Pradeep Kumar Mishra said they would soon felicitate Deepak, who scored 90 per cent marks in both Class 10 and 12 exams, a press release issued by the university said. 

AKTU odd semester exams begin from March 21 

AKTU has announced that it will conduct regular odd semester and carry over-exams for first, third semester and lateral entries from March 21, 2022. The university had earlier postponed the exams scheduled in February in view of the rising COVID-19 cases across the country. 

As per the official notification, “AKTU odd semester exam will be conducted for the first semester (all streams) and the third semester for BTech and BPharm students from March 21 to April 4. A detailed branch-wise schedule for AKTU odd semester exams will be uploaded on the university’s website, aktu.ac.in.”
